GEOT-2782 was now closed; thanks Andrea.

In starting the release process I once again took a run at extensive tests.

Tests in error:
  testGIFImageWrite(org.geotools.image.ImageWorkerTest)
  testJPEGWrite(org.geotools.image.ImageWorkerTest)
  testPNGWrite(org.geotools.image.ImageWorkerTest)
  testMakeColorTransparent(org.geotools.image.ImageWorkerTest)
  testBandSelectSimple(org.geotools.coverage.processing.BandSelectTest)
  testBandSelect(org.geotools.coverage.processing.BandSelectTest)
  testRaster(org.geotools.coverage.grid.FloatRasterTest)
  testMatrix(org.geotools.coverage.grid.FloatRasterTest)
  testSubsampleAverage(org.geotools.coverage.processing.SubsampleAverageTest)
  testSubtract(org.geotools.coverage.processing.OperationsTest)
  testNodataFilter(org.geotools.coverage.processing.OperationsTest)
  testGradientMagnitude(org.geotools.coverage.processing.OperationsTest)
  testSubsampleAverage(org.geotools.coverage.processing.FilteredSubsampleTest)
  testPiecewise(org.geotools.coverage.grid.ViewsManagerTest)
  testCoriolis(org.geotools.coverage.grid.ViewsManagerTest)
  testCrop(org.geotools.coverage.processing.CropTest)
  testCropRotated(org.geotools.coverage.processing.CropTest)
  testIdentity(org.geotools.coverage.processing.ResampleTest)
  testCrop(org.geotools.coverage.processing.ResampleTest)
  testStereographic(org.geotools.coverage.processing.ResampleTest)
  testsNad83(org.geotools.coverage.processing.ResampleTest)
  testAffine(org.geotools.coverage.processing.ResampleTest)

If these tests are not going to pass; and not going to be fixed; I would like them turned off so I can give other modules a chance to be tested.

Very short fix list as befitting a successful release candidate.

Issues fixed from 2.6-RC1:
  • [GEOT-2780] - Histogram Op and RGB images
  • [GEOT-2782] - IndexedShapefileDataStore Query Bug
  • [GEOT-2783] - WFS 1.0 DataStore does not handle FastBBOX from renderer
  • [GEOT-2785] - Priority-parameter is wrongly transformed to XML and can not be read-in again.
I am going to upload the assemblies now; and if I can ask someone to build from the source download before we anounce that would be great. We are also still looking for a good home to publish the javadocs. We have some space on codehaus we could use; also on OSGeo hardware if we can figure out a way to download a zipfile and unpack it.

Downloaded geotools-2.6.0-project.zip, unpacked and built it with
-Dall. No problems :)

geotools-2.6.0-doc.zip also unpacked fine and the javadocs look good
apart from my own stupid typos that I spotted.

They are also on the web if you want to either update the

Hi Jody,
could you please provide me more details on the failing tests? Do you have any surefire report to show me? On which OS are you running your tests?
I just did a 2.6.0 checkout and I have built it with the extensive tests without any error.

Please, let me know.
Regards,
Daniele

Just run a build on the coverage module with:
mvn -Pextensive.tests,interactive.tests install -o

and in fact I did not notice any issue either (besides a million
windows opening during the build).

May it be a OSX only thing? Also, is it the extensive or interactive
flag that makes it fail? And with which stack traces?

Cheers
Andrea

All very sensible questions Andrea let me try.
It looks to be the interactive.tests failing ....

Jody

The issue here is GEOT-2749.
