[Fwd: ] How to add new content, like file, image programmatically?

Perhaps, I should be more specific. Our users can download their
information which is saved in a MySql database. But there is some
information that we would like to have outside of the database, like realy
big texts and images created analizing database data. How could it be
saved in their member folders, so it wouldn't be problem with writing
permission

The semantics of 'invokeFactory' have not changed, even if the STI hook
has been broken by the new folder UI.

Were the question about adding content on creation, then the howto would
indeed be unhelpful. However, it was about programmatically adding content.
