Hi there, I love audacity and it's great to see its range of effects growing.
On the other hand, it has gotten quite impossible to find the desired effect
type out from a list of 100 effects. Even grouping by initial letter/alphabet is
not a real help because there are several naming policies intersecting.
Unless we have a effect browser that gives further hints/info with any effect or
even a pre-listening option, I'd plea for a subgrouping by categories like
- pitch
- time (incl. stretch)
- amplitude (incl. normalize, gates)
- render (incl. sine, noise)
- fq filters (incl. eq)
- restauration (incl. denoise)
Maybe it is possible to add tags to any effect (out of above mentioned
categories). Any effect will then appear in the first mentioned group (bold
typeface) and in any further listed category (italic/regular).
