Sound card driver crash. Audacity isn't linked to RPCRT4.DLL - it's part of
Windows. This sort of problem is nearly always caused by defective windows sound
drivers which are upset by audacity querying them for information. You would
have received this answer much quicker on the audacity forum where support
questions are handled, not the development bug tracker.
